Donald Trump To Skip G20 Summit in South Africa, Says ‘They Shouldn’t Be in the Gs Anymore’

New York: US President Donald Trump ne announce kiya hai ki woh G20 Summit 2025, jo iss mahine South Africa mein hone ja rahi hai, attend nahi karenge. Unhone South Africa ke G20 membership par bhi sawal uthaya, kehkar ki “South Africa shouldn’t even be in the Gs anymore.”

South Africa ne December 1, 2024 ko G20 Presidency sambhali thi, aur ab 22-23 November ko Johannesburg mein summit host karne ja raha hai. Yeh pehli baar hoga jab G20 leaders ki meeting African soil par ho rahi hai — ek historic moment ke roop mein dekha ja raha tha.

Trump Questions South Africa’s Role in G20

Florida ke America Business Forum Miami event mein Trump ne kaha, “Main nahi jaa raha. South Africa shouldn’t even be in the Gs anymore because what’s happened there is bad. I told them I’m not going. I’m not going to represent our country there.”

Unhone further kaha ki unke hisaab se South Africa ka economic aur political condition G20 ke standards se match nahi karta.

US to Take Over G20 Presidency in 2025

G20 Presidency December 1, 2025 se United States ke haath mein aayegi, aur November 30, 2026 tak US isko lead karega. Trump ne pehle bhi kaha tha ki agar woh power mein rahe, toh 2026 G20 Summit apne Miami ke golf club mein host karna chahege.

Isse pehle India ne December 2022 se November 2023 tak G20 Presidency sambhali thi aur New Delhi Summit 2023 successfully host ki thi, jisme uss waqt ke US President Joe Biden ne participate kiya tha.

About G20 and South Africa’s Membership

G20 mein currently 19 countries hain — Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkiye, the UK, aur the US — plus European Union aur African Union.

India ke G20 Presidency ke dauraan hi African Union ko permanent membership di gayi thi, jisse Africa ke representation ko global level par boost mila tha.

Trump ne apne speech mein New York ke “communist” mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani par bhi tipanni ki aur kaha ki Miami hamesha se un logon ke liye ek safe space rahi hai jo “communist tyranny” se South Africa se bhaag kar aaye.
