World Meteorological Organization Warns of Increased Extreme Weather

According to a five-year forecast released by the World Meteorological Organization and the UK Met Office, Earth is likely to experience more record-breaking heat and extreme weather due to intensified climate change. There is an 80% chance that global average temperatures will set a new annual record and an 86% chance that a year within the next five will exceed the critical 1.5°C warming threshold set by the Paris Agreement.
