Mumbai Train Accident: 2 Dead, 3 Injured Near Sandhurst Road Railway Station

A tragic train accident in Mumbai on Thursday evening left two people dead and three others seriously injured near Sandhurst Road railway station in South Mumbai.

According to officials, the incident took place around 6:49 p.m. near pole number 2/418, close to the railway tracks. As per initial reports, a local train hit five individuals, after which the injured were quickly taken to J.J. Hospital for medical treatment.
Hospital authorities later confirmed that two victims, including a 19-year-old woman named Helly Mohmaya and an unidentified man, were declared brought dead. The other two injured — Kaif Choghale (22) and Khushbu (45) — are under observation and currently receiving treatment.
Dr. Shweta, the Central Medical Officer at J.J. Hospital, shared an update around 8:17 p.m., confirming the deaths and the condition of the injured passengers.
The cause of the Mumbai railway accident is still under investigation. Railway officials are trying to determine whether the victims were crossing the tracks or standing too close to the train line when the tragedy occurred.
