Shaam lagbhag 6:52 baje Red Fort Metro Station ke paas ek Hyundai i20 car blast hui. Blast itna zabardast tha ki aas-paas khadi gaadiyaan bhi nuksaan pahunchi aur road par debris fail gaya. Eyewitnesses ke mutabiq, logon mein afra-tafri mach gayi aur kai log zameen par ghayal pade the.

Police aur emergency teams turant site par pahunchi. Injured logon ko LNJP Hospital aur AIIMS Trauma Centre mein admit karaya gaya hai.

Officials ke hisaab se, initial forensic report aur intelligence inputs yeh dikhate hain ki iske peeche terror link ho sakta hai.

Dhamake ke kuch ghante pehle Jammu & Kashmir Police ne Faridabad, Haryana ke do gharon se lagbhag 3,000 kg explosive material recover kiya tha — yeh information J&K-based doctor Adil Rather se mili thi. Us material mein 350 kg ammonium nitrate bhi shamil tha, jo ek common fertiliser hai par use explosive ke roop mein convert kiya ja sakta hai.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah ne kaha, “Sabhi angles se investigation kiya ja raha hai. Har possibility ko dhyan mein rakhte hue thorough probe hoga.”
