Vodafone Idea Ko Badi Rahat: Supreme Court Ne AGR Dues Review Par Di Sarkar Ko Green Signal

Telecom company Vodafone Idea ke liye ek badi khushkhabri aayi hai. Supreme Court ne Monday ko Centre ko permission di hai ki wo company ke Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) dues par dobara review kare. Ye move company ke liye financial relief la sakta hai, jo ab tak DoT ke inflated AGR demands se joojh rahi thi.

Sarkar Ka Statement Court Mein

Hearing ke dauraan, Central Government ne Supreme Court ko bataya ki uska Vodafone Idea mein 49% stake hai aur company ke services par kareeb 20 crore users depend karte hain. Isliye, ye matter public interest aur policy decision ke domain mein aata hai.

Supreme Court ne sarkar ke stance ko dhyaan mein rakhte hue kaha — “Since this is a policy matter, the government can re-examine and decide accordingly.”

AGR Computation Mein Galti Ka Daawa

Vodafone Idea ne apni petition mein kaha tha ki AGR dues ke calculation mein errors aur duplicate entries ki wajah se DoT ne kuch amounts do baar add kar diye. Is galti ke chalte company par zyada payment ka pressure aa gaya.

AGR yaani Adjusted Gross Revenue ek licensing fee aur usage charge hai jo telecom operators ko DoT ko dena hota hai. Ye unke total revenue ke base par calculate hota hai — jisme telecom ke alawa non-telecom income jaise rent, interest aur dividend bhi shamil kiye jaate hain.

Yahan se hi dispute start hua tha. Telecom companies ka kehna tha ki sirf telecom operations se earned revenue ko include kiya jaye, jabki DoT insist kar raha tha ki saari income sources ko count kiya jaye.

Pehle Supreme Court Ne Kiya Tha DoT Ke Paksh Mein Faisla

October 2019 mein Supreme Court ne DoT ke favour mein judgment diya tha aur sabhi telecom operators ko AGR dues chukane ka order diya.September 2020 mein Court ne companies ko 10 saal ka time period diya tha dues clear karne ke liye, jisme har saal 10% payment mandatory tha. Pehli installment March 31, 2021 tak deni thi.

Lekin July 2021 mein, Supreme Court ne Vodafone Idea aur Airtel jaise telecom giants ki wo petitions dismiss kar di thi, jisme unhone computation errors rectify karne ki request ki thi.

Ab Badal Raha Hai Scenario

Ab Monday ke order ke baad, government ke paas AGR dues issue dobara review karne ka adhikar hai, jisse Vodafone Idea ko financial stability mil sakti hai. Analysts ka maanna hai ki agar sarkar dues recalculation kare, to company ke upar kaafi financial burden kam ho jayega — aur ye telecom sector ke liye ek positive turning point sabit ho sakta hai.
