Sydney mein hua India vs Australia 3rd ODI match Iyer ke liye tough sabit hua, jab unhone ek brilliant catch lene ke dauran rib cage par zor ka impact liya. Uske turant baad unhe hospital le jaaya gaya, jahan scans mein spleen laceration, yaani internal injury, paayi gayi.

BCCI ne 27 October ko apne pehle statement mein kaha,“Shreyas Iyer ko Sydney mein 25 October ko 3rd ODI ke dauran left lower rib cage par impact injury lagi thi. Scans se pata chala hai ki unhe spleen laceration hua hai. Filhal unka treatment chal raha hai aur unki condition medically stable hai.”

28 October ko BCCI ne ek aur update diya,“Shreyas ko blunt abdominal injury hui thi, jisse internal bleeding hui. Bleeding turant control kar li gayi hai. Ab unki condition stable hai aur wo observation mein hain. Tuesday ke repeat scan mein kaafi improvement dekha gaya hai. BCCI Medical Team, Sydney aur India ke specialists ke saath milkar unki recovery monitor kar rahi hai.”
