Apple may be gearing up for one of its most ambitious design overhauls ever. Fresh leaks suggest the tech giant could introduce a bezel-less iPhone in 2027 and unveil its first foldable “iPhone Flip” by 2028 — marking a major shift in how iPhones look and feel.

According to a report from South Korean tipster yeux1122님의 블로그, Apple’s upcoming lineup could redefine the iPhone’s form factor over the next few years, with next-gen OLED technology and under-display Face ID leading the way.
Foldable iPhone Might Finally Arrive
After years of speculation, Apple’s long-rumoured foldable device — tentatively called the iPhone Fold — might make its debut by late 2026. Reportedly, the foldable will feature a book-like design and a flexible LTPO+ OLED display roughly the size of an iPad mini.
To tackle one of the biggest challenges of foldable phones — screen creases — Apple is said to be developing a glass mid-frame design to minimize wrinkles and improve durability.
Though the company hasn’t officially confirmed any such product, insiders believe Apple’s entry into the foldable market could disrupt the premium smartphone space, currently dominated by Samsung, Oppo, and Google.
Bezel-Free Design for iPhone’s 20th Anniversary
In 2027, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone, Apple may introduce its first completely bezel-less display. This version is expected to feature a four-edge curved OLED panel with a Crater Diffusion Layer, designed to enhance brightness consistency across the screen.
It’s also rumoured to debut under-display Face ID, eliminating the need for notches or camera cutouts — delivering a true edge-to-edge visual experience. If realized, it would be Apple’s most significant screen innovation since the introduction of Super Retina displays.
The Future: A Compact “iPhone Flip”
The evolution might continue into 2028 with a clamshell-style foldable, informally dubbed the iPhone Flip. This compact model could feature a small external display for quick notifications and AI-assisted shortcuts. Its design is said to focus on lightweight materials, curved edges, and premium portability.
While Apple has remained silent on these developments, the leaks hint at a bold new era of iPhones — one that merges elegance, flexibility, and futuristic technology. For now, these reports remain speculative, but if true, Apple’s next few releases could completely reshape the smartphone landscape.
